Xiaomi Mi A1 released in 2017 and with the Android 13 update, it still gets the best software support. The phone was launched in 2017 with Android 7, but now it will have Android 13 based software.
In fact, MI A1 had several ROM updates and the custom ROM community kept going. It runs on Lineage OS 17.1, based on Android 10. Spark OS, PixelPlusUI, PixelExperience, and ArrowOS are some of the Android 13 ROMs that can be found on the XDA Developers forum.
Spark OS is based on AOSP and has more features and customizations than AOSP. Pixel launcher and dialer are included. PixelPlusUI is a well-optimized Android theme, inspired by other Android skins on the market. It comes with the latest security patches, which makes it even more secure. Gapps, wallpapers, icons, fonts, launch and playback animations are all included in PixelExperience. It is stable and uses AOSP as the basis. ArrowOS is another ROM based on AOSP, but it doesn’t come with Gapps.
Xiaomi MI A1 users who switch to custom ROM may miss out on some of the more advanced features of the camera app, VoLTE, FM radio and more. But users have many options, and some of them may be the best. There are also a few other ways to get back the features you lost when switching to a custom ROM.
