Brock Lesnar returned to WWE Raw on October 10, attacking Bobby Lashley. Here’s why the Beast Incarnate is back on TV.
October 10 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw It was full of surprises, including Brock Lesnar’s shocking return to television. The Beast Incarnate hasn’t been seen on TV since losing to Roman Reigns in summerslam On July 30th. However, he immediately demonstrated his presence on the red brand, attacking Bobby Lashley ahead of his scheduled United States Championship defense against Seth Rollins. Rollins urged the All-Mighty to defend their title despite Lesnar’s assault, and The Visionary actually managed to win the subsequent match.
There is a lot to unpack in this segment. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about what WWE might think now that Lesnar is back in the fold. “They are likely to wrestle in [Crown Jewel]. [Brock Lesnar] It’s back in Saudi Arabia, so that made sense. The story there is that the first match they fought, Bobby Lashley won – despite a lot of interference. So Brock has a kind of… he can go to get his win back. Bobby Lashley is no longer the United States Champion. Seth Rollins. So Brock doesn’t have to win the championship. Looks like Logan Paul, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley might be the first two matches in the… [Crown Jewel].“

Unlike in years past, this match doesn’t look like it’s bundled together for big paychecks. full point of crown jewel Shows are packing as much star power onto the card as possible, so there was no way Brock Lesnar would be sitting in the action. Lesnar and Lashley have a lot of history, and Brock’s attack on Monday night will have far-reaching ramifications on many of the storylines. Lashley was an American fighting champion and helped restore a lot of prestige to win the title. The title’s inventive Seth Rollins by hook and crook would starkly contrast with Lashley’s run, making this eventual final look like a surefire.
It’s unclear if Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle ended their feud after that Strict rules. The fighting pit would be a good way for these two to end their long rivalry, and free them up for new shows. There are some exciting possibilities for Rollins’ next feud, including Kevin Owens or perhaps even the return of Bray Wyatt. The premium live event is scheduled to take place on November 5, broadcast live from Mrsool Park. With so many weeks into the show, it will be interesting to see if someone like Goldberg has been introduced to the mix as well.
