T-Mobile and Sprint merged last year after finally gaining approval to do so. As customers of Sprint know, T-Mobile has been pushing new SIM cards to get people off some of the older Sprint networks and onto the newer T-Mobile networks. T-Mobile has now confirmed that it intends to shut down the Sprint LTE network next summer.

T-Mobile REVVL V+ 5G doesn’t look too shabby for its price

Whether warranted or not, the term "affordable" has been used as a euphemism for "cheap," which, in turn, has carried a stigma of poor quality or lackluster design. So when T-Mobile claims to have the most affordable 5G phone in the US market, it's unsurprising that some might presume it'll be a rather disappointing affair. They might be surprised, however, to find a rather good-looking handset that does deliver some value for its price, even if it does cut corners.

T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling will soon stop working on some old phones

T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling will soon stop working on some old phones

Some joke that people these days use their phones and the Internet for almost anything except making phone calls but that's only partially true. One particular piece of technology actually does make use of the Internet when making calls, even if you're not calling via services like Messenger or WhatsApp. This Wi-Fi Calling has been around for years and it's no surprise that T-Mobile is retiring an older version of the tech that's only used in older phones anyway.

T-Mobile Galaxy Note 20 Ultra update brings eSIM milestone

eSIM, short for embedded (not electronic) SIM, is supposed to be the SIM technology of the future. More convenient than popping out SIM card trays or physically interacting with carriers, the technology has been ironically but unsurprisingly hampered by carriers who aren't that keen on making it too easy for users to switch networks. Unfortunately, that also hampered even those phones with both physical and embedded SIMs so it's actually a pleasant surprise to hear that T-Mobile is finally enabling it for last year's Galaxy Note 20.
