Sony PlayStation 5 game consoles get an update with DualSense Edge. The Edge is all about customization. It features five unique profiles, upgraded hardware inside, and a few additional input methods. There are two function buttons under the analog sticks, and in the photos the rubber knobs all look a lot more grippy.
Another cool feature is that you can reset and deactivate buttons, as well as adjust stick sensitivity and dead zones, and then save these settings into unique profiles. Stick covers and back buttons are interchangeable, and users can replace the entire stick unit. Braided USB-C cable and carrying case with USB charging for the most important things.
We don’t know yet when it will be available or the cost of the new gamepad. However, Sony says we’ll learn more information about Edge in the coming months. DualSense is a standout feature of the PlayStation 5, with intense haptic feedback and trigger buttons with adjustable tension. This is key as it helps add a layer of gaming immersion which is something you won’t find on Xbox. This is a good move from Sony.
