Shark has just unveiled its new Power Detect range of vacuums at IFA 2024 in Berlin, including a wet and dry robotic vacuum and a powerful cordless vacuum.
The new Power Detect 2-in-1 robot vacuum comes with a choice of three docking stations, including an all-in-one self-emptying, refilling, and self-cleaning station that not only provides up to 60 days of debris storage in the bagless bin, but also self-cleans, dries the cleaning pad, and refills the mop with clean water.
Regardless of model, all Power Detect robots feature the same Shark vacuum cleaning technology including Dirt Detect, Floor Detect and Never Stuck.
The smart robot is also equipped with Stain Detect technology, which means it will take multiple passes to remove heavy or dried-in stains, and Edge Detect, which expands the cleaning plate for a better cleaning range.
Detect energy in upright position
Shark also unveiled its new Power Detect range of upright vacuums. The range comes in four variants, including a convenient cordless model with an optional self-emptying station and a corded alternative.
In true Shark style, the Power Detect cordless vacuum features a Flexology wand that smoothly bends to clean under low furniture and folds up for compact storage.

While many upright vacuums are unable to clean in reverse, the Power Detect upright range uses new Direction Detect technology, allowing the vacuum to operate in both forward and reverse directions for faster, more efficient cleaning.
Similar to its robot vacuum alternative, the Power Detect cordless is equipped with Edge, Dirt and Floor Detect but also Light Detect, which allows the DuoClean's LED lights to be adjusted depending on the brightness level of the room.
There are also three modes to choose from: Eco, Boost and Detect with the environment and dirt levels automatically being identified to adjust power levels accordingly.
You can also monitor how well the Power Detect is cleaning, thanks to the LED ring on the device that shows you how much debris it has detected on the floor. If the ring is white, it means the area has been cleaned, while a dark purple color indicates a lot of debris has been detected.
Specific launch dates and pricing for the entire Power Detect range are still unknown.
