Severance and Schmigadoon stars lead Verizon’s new iPhone ad

Apple TV + stars Adam Scott (Severance) and Cecily Strong (Schmigadoon) are promoting the new Verizon One Unlimited iPhone plan as part of a marketing campaign between Apple and Verizon.

Verizon is the exclusive carrier in the US to offer a mobile service plan with Apple One as a feature. Single line customers get Apple One Individual ($14.99 a month), and two or more lines get Apple One Family services included (usually $20 a month alone).

Apple and Verizon are collaborating on marketing the new plan, along with the launch of the iPhone 14. Inside Apple Park, Apple VP of Services Peter Stern and Verizon execs gave some exclusive first looks at upcoming content across Apple Music, Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade.

You can watch the TV ad here, at the end of the First Look presentation:

Unfortunately, some of the installation work in advertising leaves little to be desired. The screenshot of the Severance is glued to the phone screen almost in place, and lacks any sign of a notch or the Dynamic Island slots…

The sci-fi drama Severance is about to head into production for its second season in October, so its release on Apple TV+ will be at least a year away. The satirical Broadway musical comedy series Schmigadoon recently wrapped production for its second season, so you can expect it to appear on Apple TV+ sometime next year.
