realme recently introduced the realme C55 in the low-cost category. The unique feature of this device comes from the iPhone’s identical “Dynamic Island” screen design. realme takes advantage of the screen cutout area to display notifications similar to what Apple does with the iPhone 14 Pro series.

realme C55’s design doesn’t have a lot of features. The device has a back and a frame finished in plastic because it is a cheap product, and it includes two color options: black and gold. The main camera array on the back includes two lenses: a 64MP wide-angle camera and a depth camera.

At the front, realme C55 equips a 6.72-inch screen, using an IPS LCD panel with FHD + resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. As mentioned, this screen does not have a pill-shaped notch, but realme still uses it, along with a program to display notifications. realme calls this area a mini-capsule (rough translation: a small pill). Currently, realme says that the Mini Capsule design can be used to display the battery charge status, the number of steps, and the distance traveled per day… Maybe in the future it will be compatible with third-party apps 3.

In terms of performance, the realme C55 comes with the Helio G88 chip from MediaTek for a decent performance. The device contains 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memory, and it works with Android 13 with the realme UI 4.0 interface. The device’s battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, and supports fast charging of 5,000 mAh.

In terms of price, realme C55 is available on the shelves in the Indonesian market first at a starting price of 2,499,000 IDR, equivalent to 3.8 million. It is not clear if realme will bring this device to the Vietnamese market.
