QNAP TS-h1290FX SATA Fully Flash NAS

Storage systems design firm and manufacturer QNAP this week introduced the first U.2 NVMe/SATA All-Flash NAS tower, powered by AMD EPYC, for 25Gb collaborative workflow environments. The TS-h1290FX is the first fully PCIe 4.0 and U.2 NVMe/SATA NAS in tower form and measures 368 x 362 x 152.7 mm and features 12 slots.

Equipped with AMD EPYC 8/16-core processors, integrated 25Gb and 2.5GbE connectivity, PCIe Gen 4 expansion, and up to petabytes of storage, the TS-h1290FX handles data-intensive and latency-sensitive applications.

“Modern businesses and studios shouldn’t need to dedicate entire rooms to accommodate hot and noisy servers, and that’s where the TS-h1290FX comes in. It’s contained within a unique tower form factor and the use of quiet cooling is exceptional server-grade performance,” said Jason Hsu, Product Manager at QNAP.

With a sleek design, easily scalable storage, and near-silent cooling, the TS-h1290FX (Dimensions: 368 x 362 x 152.7 mm) is ideal for small/medium businesses and video editing teams for high-speed backup, collaboration, and video editing workflows.

To simplify workflow, the TS-h1290FX provides direct connectivity to up to 20 computers/workstations when used with PCIe network cards from QNAP. It is fully compatible with mainstream software solutions and can tackle bandwidth-demanding challenges such as real-time 4K/8K video editing and collaborative editing. The fanless CPU cooler and 90mm semi-silent system fan also provide efficient cooling without distracting noise, making it ideal for integration into modern work environments. “
