Oppo Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro have been launched

Oppo unveiled the Oppo Reno 9 series in China today. The successor to the Oppo Reno 8 series comes with a new design. This group includes three models, such as Oppo Reno 9, Oppo Reno 9 Pro, and Oppo Reno 9 Pro Plus.

All three phones look almost the same, however, they have slightly different sets of specs. Oppo Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro consist of two pieces of glass glued together but the frame is made of plastic. The thickness is 7.19mm and it weighs 174g.

These phones feature 6.7-inch curved AMOLED displays with a punch-hole in the center, 2412 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) resolution, 394ppi, and 120Hz refresh rate. Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star2 protects a 10-bit panel that can reach a maximum brightness of 950 nits.

The regular version will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor while the Pro version will use MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max. The latter also contains an image processing chip called MariSilicon X NPU.

Both have LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. They also run the same ColorOS 13 software, based on Android 13.

Both phones have the same 32MP RGBW front camera with autofocus, but the rear camera is different.

The standard Reno 9 comes with a 64MP main camera and a 2MP black and white camera. On the other hand, Reno 9 Pro has a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera and an 8MP wide-angle camera.

They come with multiple connectivity methods, such as dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, NFC, and USB Type-C. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor, graphite cooling system, and infrared sensor.

Last but not least, both devices pack a 4,500mAh battery and can charge quickly via a wired connection (up to 67W).
