Accordingly, and in order to implement the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 06 and ensure that all active subscribers have correct information and match the national population database by the end of March 31, 2023, the network operators are requested to review, compare and verify the information of subscribers who have complete papers and record the information in accordance with the regulations for subscribers Who have valid documents, and the information does not match the information in the National Population Database.

In addition, for suspicious subscriber information that does not comply with the regulations, carriers are required to continuously notify individuals and request that the contract be re-concluded in accordance with the form and general terms of the transaction for at least 5 days, at least once a day.

If an individual or organization fails to comply with the request, suspend the provision of one-way communication services after 15 days from the first day of sending the notice and suspend the provision of two-way services to subscribers after the following fifteen days. you did not.

In the event that this is still not done, the operator will terminate the provision of communication services after the next 30 days. After 30 days from the date on which the provision of two-way communication services is suspended, if the subscriber fails to register for the consolidation of personal information as provided, the operator will liquidate the contract and terminate the provision of communication services.

Thus, from March 31, 2023, network operators will begin a one-way lockout of subscribers whose information does not match the information against the national population database.

Thereafter, the two-way information will be locked with those subscribers and after two months, the contract will be terminated, if the subscriber does not register to consolidate personal information as provided.

How not to get sim locked after 3/31?

In order to not lock the sim after March 31st, the Sim’s information matched the phone’s owner’s information in the national database. Accordingly, depending on each network, users can standardize the information as follows:

Method 1: through the application

Step 1: Download the app My Viettel (with Viettel network), My MobiFone (with mobile network) or My VNPT (with Vinaphone network) on Chplay or Appstore.

Step 2: Register an account with a phone number that needs to be unified as per the above apps instructions.

Step 3: After obtaining an account, users go to “Other” and select “Customer Information”. Then make an additional confirmation of the information according to the application instructions.

The second method: Live updates

In addition to the online update through the application, phone users can go directly to the transaction points of Viettel, Mobifone or Vinaphone, and bring the ID card / citizen ID card to the staff at the transaction points to perform. Register/add/reconfirm information.

How do you know if the chip is locked or not?

According to the provisions of Decree 49, if any subscriber has inconsistent information, he will receive a notification message from the network operator asking the individual to update the information on the sim.
