About a week ago, the POCO brand brought to Vietnam its latest smartphone product range called POCO X5 Series, including two products, POCO X5 5G and POCO X5 Pro 5G. These are two mid-range products with hardware features, aimed at students, students, or those who don’t have high enough requirements to buy a flagship.

The box of the product has a basic color of black with yellow letters which looks very prominent and youthful. The text is also printed in landscape orientation instead of portrait like other products on the market.
The set of accessories includes a transparent case, a 67W power cord and a charger with built-in PD3.0 and QC4.
The device has 3 color versions: Black, Blue (light blue or people call it “light blue”) and the yellow that we have here. This yellow looks realistic… yellow because it’s lighter than the picture – often as wide as orange!
The camera assembly is located in the left corner on the back, along with a stylized black stripe with the word “POCO” – letting you know at a glance what the brand of this product is. The device’s triple camera array includes a 108MP high-resolution main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera.
The “black gold” color theme continues on the side. These side edges are completely flat and square from the plastic to the front glass of the screen. All buttons are placed on the right side including the volume button and the yellow power button.
This power button is the fingerprint reader on the POCO X5 Pro 5G, a little strange since most smartphones, including the mid-rangers, have now switched to using the sensor under the display. The capacitive fingerprint sensor still has some advantages in terms of read speed and reliability in practical use.
In addition, the device has a dual speaker system, a USB charging port compatible with the 67W charging standard, and a wired 3.5mm music port.
Moving forward, the POCO X5 Pro 5G has a large 6.67-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display, representing 1.07 billion colors, compatible with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ standards.
The screen has 4 fairly thin and even borders, which creates a positive visual sensation and avoids excessive space so that the device is as small as possible, which increases comfort when holding in the hand.
It’s also a screen with a high refresh rate of 120Hz, which makes home screen operations smoother and gives you an edge in games that have been updated to use this feature.
The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G processor, 6/8 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of internal memory, and is backed by a 5000 mAh battery. The device is currently running MIUI version for POCO 14 on top of Android 12.
The original distribution price of the POCO X5 Pro 5G product is VND 7.69 and VND 8.69 million for the 6/128GB and 8/256GB versions, respectively. At the time of writing, this price has been reduced to VND 6.99 and VND 7.99 million (subject to change without notice).
