Logitech G Cloud Hand Unveiled With Full Xbox Game Pass and GeForce Now

After previewing the device last month, Logitech has fully revealed the G Cloud Gaming Handheld, with availability across the Atlantic starting next month.

The Steam Deck-like device, which is being manufactured jointly with Tencent Games, will be released on October 17 in North America with a pre-order price of $299. It’ll be $349 after that. Pricing and availability in the UK haven’t been announced or confirmed, but we’ve reached out to Logitech for news.

Logitech says the Android device is built specifically for cloud gaming and will arrive with services like Xbox Game Pass, Nvidia GeForce Now, and the Google Play Store. This will come in handy for video streaming as well.

It will also enable users to stream their Xbox game libraries locally, from the console itself, and PC games via Steam Link and remote play apps. All in all, you’ll provide access to thousands upon thousands of games across different portals, with the ability to stream everything locally or from the cloud thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi.

There is a MicroSD card slot for expanded storage, but it doesn’t seem like gamers will need much of that other than the games, apps, and videos they download from the Play Store.

It has a 7-inch 1080p display and a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz with a 16:9 aspect ratio radio. There’s more than 12 hours of battery life from a 6000mAh cell, according to a press release, with the device itself weighing 463 grams. .

Specifications show that it will be powered by a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Since this is a cloud-powered console, the mid-range specs aren’t the biggest deal in the world.

Despite its rather bland exterior, Logitech promises that the G Cloud Gaming Handheld has got it right where it belongs. “Performance and feedback compete with the best controllers with touch controls, gyroscopes, and resettable controls,” the company says.
