LineageOS 19 now supports the Google ADT-3 dongle

Based on Android 12, the third-party LineageOS 19 ROM now supports a series of new devices, including Google’s developer ADT-3 Android TV dongle, Motorola Edge 20, and Dynalink 4K Box.

This trio of newly supported devices has been spotted by XDA, and Motorola’s latest smartphone has been the highlight of most smartphones. However, LineageOS 19 support for Google ADT-3 might be of interest to those who want to mess around with their Android TV streaming stick. Released in 2020 and aimed directly at developers, it was launched with Android 10 based OS for TV OS. However, Google recently introduced Android 12 versions through official channels. This is likely why Lineage has now added support.

Motorola’s Edge 20 is just a mid-ranger with modest specs and until recently it was still Android 11. The addition of LineageOS 19 support means you can still enjoy all the great Android 12 functionality and features, but with a little extra courtesy of the added customization options in Lineage. Plus the enhanced features.

The Dynalink 4K Box is an Android TV streaming device that’s under $40 and fairly basic. It is sold in a few stores but provides a convenient entry point for streaming Ultra HD content. It was also released in 2020 and still runs Android 10. LineageOS 19 gives you the option to update to the latest Android 12 while also giving you some neat ROM functionality.
