Leica Leitz Phone 2 smartphone unveiled


Leica has launched a new smartphone in Japan, the Leica Leitz Phone 2, and the phone has shared some specs with the Sharp Aquos R7.

The Leica Leitz Phone 2 comes with a 6.6-inch OLED display featuring a Full HD + n resolution of 2730 x 1260 pixels, and the device comes with a first-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 processor.

The phone has 12GB of RAM and also comes with 512GB of storage, as well as a microSD card slot for additional storage.

The smartphone comes with an array of high-end cameras, there is one camera on the front and one camera on the back.

On the front of the phone is a 16MP camera designed for making video calls and taking selfies. On the back of the device is a 47MP camera with a 1-inch sensor and comes with a Leica Summicron seven-element lens. The phone comes with a 5000 mAh battery and comes with Android 12.

The new Leica Leitz Phone 2 launches in Japan on the 18th of November, the phone will be available for retail for 225,360 JPY (equivalent to $1,540 at the current exchange rate), and it will be available in one color, white. So far, there are no details on whether it will be launched outside of Japan.
