The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are Samsung’s latest flagship earbuds, but Samsung stopped shipping them almost immediately after their launch event: Early buyers reported some quality control issues (one of which we were able to replicate), and Samsung took the unusual step of halting shipments entirely. But now it appears the issues have been resolved, and shipments of the buds have started up again.
The reason for the halt in shipments was that Samsung didn’t want to risk more misbehaving earbuds reaching customers, so it not only resolved its own production issues, but also decided to retest the Buds 3 Pro that had already undergone quality testing. This meant a frustrating delay for pre-order buyers, but it should also mean that no one is now receiving earbuds that didn’t live up to their expectations.
What is the problem that you are facing with Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro?
It wasn’t just one problem, but several. The first reports of issues centered on the ear tips, which were so delicate that they could easily be accidentally torn off, as we pointed out in our Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro review . But then more reports came in of other issues, such as poor-quality finish, misplaced Blade LEDs — so that the LED strip that should be on the left earbud was on the right earbud, and vice versa — and uneven gaps between the sections.
Such issues are supposed to be discovered during the quality control process, but apparently that wasn’t the case here — so thankfully, Samsung immediately took full responsibility, apologised to affected customers and set about fixing the problem. In a statement posted on Samsung’s website, the company said: “We sincerely apologize for the quality issues that arose with some products purchased during the pre-sale period… We will carefully examine all processes and do our utmost to prevent similar incidents from happening again.”
Now that shipping appears to have resumed, customers can expect their orders to arrive reasonably soon: According to SamMobile, users in the US and Europe have now received their orders, and others' order status pages are showing revised delivery dates.
