iOS 16.1 from Apple Coming Monday, October 24

Apple has now confirmed that the iOS 16.1 software update will be released next Monday, October 24.

Yesterday, Apple announced that Apple Fitness + is coming to iPhone users next Monday without the need for an Apple Watch, and this feature is part of the iOS 16.1 program.

Starting October 24, for the first time ever, Fitness+ will be available to iPhone users to subscribe and enjoy in the 21 countries where it’s offered, even if they don’t have an Apple Watch. iPhone users will have access to the full service of over 3,000 studio-style exercises and meditations, led by a diverse and comprehensive team of coaches. Users will also see on-screen trainer instructions and interval timings, and the estimated calories burned will be used to make progress in their motion loop.

iOS 16.1 will bring a bunch of other new features to the iPhone and this will include the new love activities feature for the iPhone lock screen.

This feature will display live sports scores and more on the lock screen. This feature will also be integrated into Dynamic Island on iPhone 14 Pro models. From what we’ve seen so far, this looks like a really useful feature, especially on the new iPhone 14 Pro lineup of phones.

You will also be able to completely delete the Apple Wallet app from your iPhone with version 0f of this software update.
