Max Verstappen wrapped up his second drivers’ title at Suzuka, but all the talk this week at the Circuit of the Americas will be over whether Red Bull will be penalized for breaching cost cap measures.
And one penalty could be for Verstappen to lose his title in 2021. While that seems unlikely at the moment, other teams have been putting pressure on the FIA to move and take Red Bull into account.
And while the drivers’ and constructors’ championships are largely sewn for this purpose, the likes of Ferrari and Mercedes are still vying for second place behind Bulls as they look to finish the season on a positive note.
The race for the best of the rest is also a hotly debated topic, with Alpine and McLaren still vying for fourth place with not much love lost between these two teams.
The teams don’t seem to be looking to take their feet even as the end of the season approaches. To find out how to watch the action this weekend, here’s how to watch the F1 US Grand Prix on TV and online.
