How to reset your Galaxy Watch 5 and why you might want to

No smartwatch is perfect, and Samsung’s Galaxy Watch line has a track record of bugs and random issues. While they can be fixed on the Galaxy Watch 5, most of these errors require you to perform a factory reset on the watch, which is as simple and inconvenient as it is on a phone.

Why you might want to reset your Galaxy Watch 5

In the past, we’ve seen many different bugs make their way into our beloved Galaxy watches. During my time using the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, I have encountered many issues that cannot be fixed without completely wiping the device. Although we haven’t seen any such issues on the Watch 5 or Watch 5 Pro, that doesn’t mean they can’t happen.

Resetting the Galaxy Watch is less annoying than resetting the phone. There are fewer settings you can tweak, and if you create a backup with your Samsung account, you don’t even need to set it up again. The process is also very fast, and the pairing process is quick and easy.
