Honda has revealed that it plans to launch a total of 10 electric motorcycles by 2020. The company also said it is looking to increase its annual sales of electric motorcycles to one million units annually in the next five years.
They are also looking to sell 3.5 million electric motorcycles annually by 2030 which would represent about 15 percent of total unit sales.
In order to achieve carbon neutrality while meeting a wide range of customer needs and unique motorcycle use environments, Honda continues its CO2 reduction initiatives.2 Emissions from ICE models, with models being developed compatible with carbon-neutral fuels such as blends of gasoline and ethanol. To be more specific, in addition to Brazil where flex-fuel (E100)* 1 Motorcycle models are already available, and Honda plans to introduce flex-fuel models in India, too, one of the major motorcycle markets. The plan is to introduce flex fuel (E20) first * 1 Models starting in 2023, flex-fuel (E100) models in 2025.
In anticipation of market expansion, Honda will offer electric motorcycles that will meet a wide range of customer needs. Passenger models and fun models combined, Honda will introduce more than 10 new electric motorcycle models by 2025, aiming to reach annual electric motorcycle sales of 1 million units over the next five years, and 3.5 million units (about 15% of total sales) as of 2030.
