After updating the rest of the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21 series, Samsung is now adding One UI 5 to its two “Fan Edition” devices. The Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy S21 FE are currently receiving the Android 13 update, but only in certain regions.
SamMobile says that the Galaxy S20 FE in Russia will get Android 13. This update has build number G780FXXUAEVK3 and is about 2GB in size. But it’s important to note that this is the Exynos version of the device, not the Snapdragon version sold in the US and elsewhere.
In some places, like Europe, the Galaxy S21 FE is also getting Android 13. SamMobile notes that the firmware version number is G990BXXU2DVK3 and that the update is rolling out in some other regions.
As usual, Samsung starts these updates in certain regions before making them available everywhere. Other countries will receive the update in the next week or two.
So far, Samsung has updated more than a dozen phones and tablets to Android 13, and there is still a lot more to come. This week in France, the company also released Android 13 for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite.
