Galaxy Buds 2 Pro shows the following Samsung earbuds

We now have a first glimpse of Samsung’s next high-end headphones, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, thanks to its 3D moving renderings.

Samsung has built a reputation for creating some of the most popular earbuds for Android fans, as it’s a tough competition against Apple’s AirPods and Google’s Pixel Buds. We are now approaching one year since the launch of the Galaxy Buds 2 along with the Galaxy Watch 4 series.

This year, Samsung doesn’t seem to change the release schedule much, as evidence of the Galaxy Watch 5 has surfaced quite a bit over the past few months. To match last year, Samsung is likely to bring its next set of headphones to its next launch event.

Courtesy of respected leaker Evan Blass and 91 Mobiles, we can take a closer look at the design of what will be called the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Unsurprisingly, renderings show that the design of the case and earphone hasn’t changed much compared to the Galaxy Buds Pro back in January.

You’ll find the same clamshell design for the charging case, with the USB-C port on the back. The most notable difference is the inclusion of the new shade “Bora Purple”, which is said to match other devices coming at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. The new purple colorway joins the more traditional options of white and graphite (black).

As usual, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro – codenamed “Zenith” – appears to have “Sound by AKG”. Moreover, not much is known about the range of features and potential upgrades that these new earbuds will bring. In our review, we noticed that the original Galaxy Buds Pro still had room for improvement in terms of noise cancellation.

With Google preparing to launch its own range of noise-canceling Pixel Buds Pro in the coming weeks, it should be interesting to see how it compares to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, when Samsung launches that later this year.
