Does the Pixel 7 series support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging?

Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are the latest Google releases that bring many improvements over their predecessors. This includes Google’s new Tensor G2 chip, an updated design, and some extras including a new face unlock feature. Besides, the new Pixel phones borrow all the cool and convenient features from the previous generation phones which include wireless charging and reverse wireless charging as well. So yes, the Google Pixel 7 series supports fast wireless charging and Google’s battery sharing feature to wirelessly charge other devices.

Pixel 7 series supports Qi wireless charging standard

Just like most other phones right now, the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro can be charged wirelessly using the Qi standard. Qi Charging, for those who don’t know, uses an interface to transmit power over a short-range wireless connection. This allows you to charge your phone without connecting a charging cable. Simply place your phone on a wireless charging stand or charging pad and you are good to go.

There is no shortage of wireless chargers in the market right now, but you will have to use Google’s Pixel Stand accessory to charge your Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro with the fastest wireless charging speeds. Other than that, the Pixel will only charge at 15W, which is roughly what you get with a lot of other flagship phones out there. We’ve rounded up some good options in our range of Pixel 7 chargers, so be sure to check them out.

In addition to wireless charging, the new Pixel phones also support Battery Share with which you can wirelessly charge other devices. It can only charge other Qi-certified devices at 5W speeds, but it can be very useful in cases of necessity. You can use this feature to charge, say, Google Pixel Buds Pro when power is running low.

The new Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro both support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. You can get up to 15W charging speed while charging your new Pixel phones with any regular Qi-certified charger. Reverse wireless charging speeds up to 5W.

The wireless charging and reverse wireless charging features will work even when using a case on Pixel phones.
