auxhall GSe is a new electric sub-brand

Vauxhall has announced that it is launching a new electric sub-brand called GSe, and the brand will offer high-performance electric cars that are also sporty to drive and come with a sporty design.

The new GSe name stands for Grand Sport Electric, so we can expect all models in the range to be electric vehicles.

James Taylor, Acting General Manager, Vauxhall commented: “The GSe will provide the sporty handling and appearance combined with the performance and responsibility of the electric motors. Atop the newly streamlined Vauxhall range, the GSe name is a nod to the GSi performance models from our heritage as well as complementing the GS versions in our range today. Vauxhall is committed to electrifying Britain and GSe shows that performance and driving pleasure are set to be part of our electric future.”

Vauxhall’s electric vehicle portfolio consists of Corsa Electric, Mocha Electric, Combo Life Electric, and Vivaro Life Electric and will soon join Astra Electric and Astra Sports Tourer Electric. The Astra, Astra Sports Tourer and Grandland are available as plug-in hybrids.
