AMD has announced its latest graphics card, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 Series which the company says are “the most advanced gaming cards in the world.”
There are two new models in the lineup, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX which comes with 24GB of GDDR6 RAM and the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT which has 20GB of RAM.
AMD RDNA 3 architecture chipset design combines 5nm and 6nm process nodes, each optimized for specific functions. The cutting edge architecture delivers up to 54% higher performance per watt compared to the AMD RDNA 2 . architecture1It features the world’s fastest interconnection between GPUs and memory systems at up to 5.3 TB/s2. It also offers up to 96 new SCUs, 2nd generation AMD Infinity Cache™ technology, and up to 24GB of high-speed GDDR6 memory with up to 384-bit memory interface. It also includes an AI productivity boost that delivers 2.7 times higher AI performance, and second-generation ray tracing technology that delivers up to 1.8 times higher ray tracing performance compared to the AMD RDNA 2 architecture.3.
Altogether, these features and advancements provide a performance increase of up to 1.7 times in select 4K titles compared to the AMD RDNA 2 architecture.4. The new graphics cards also support DisplayPort™ 2.1 displays capable of delivering ultra-clear frames and stunning visuals up to 4K at 480Hz and 8kHz 165Hz refresh rates.
